Umi Ryuzaki - Magic Knights Rayearth (Grecian Gown artwork).Photo by Yenra Photography taken in 2013 at Maymont Park's Italian Gardens ..I've loved Umi since I was 16. I think it's because she reminds me of Sailor Mars. Also, I love the color blue & she's a fencer, with a dragon. What's not to love? I made this gown to go with my friends as Fuu & Hikaru. I did my best to interpret the artwork design (Sometimes CLAMP forgets that fabric & physics dont always work the way they draw them) The gown is a white charmeuse. I LOVE this fabric. It drapes SO well. The wraps are dupioni silk & the chestplate is worbla (omg I love working with this. First real time making something out of it). Also lots of beads & resin gems — with LDG Cosplay and Chiara Scuro.
