Nekocon Mascots before the Cosplay Masquerade

Two mascots from Nekocon, an anime and manga convention held annually in Chantilly, Virginia. The mascot on the left is dressed as a fox girl, wearing a blue kimono with pink flowers and yellow accents. Her hair is styled in a bun, adorned with cat ears. She holds a fan in her right hand and wears a white obi around her waist. In contrast, the mascot on the right is attired as a male version of the same character, donning a similar blue kimono but without the flowers or yellow accents. His hair is styled in a short, spiky fashion, also featuring cat ears. He holds a microphone in his left hand and appears to be addressing an audience. The background behind them features a colorful mural with various anime-inspired elements, including cherry blossoms and cartoon-style characters. Overall, the scene suggests that these mascots are participating in some sort of performance or presentation at Nekocon.
