Nui is the Grand Couturier (High Order Tailor) of the Kiryuin family, initially appearing in the show as a petite twin tailed girl with a parasol. She interrupts Ryuko's match against Sanageyama, and easily disrobes the latter with the flick of her finger.[ep 11] She reveals that she murdered Isshin Matoi and stole the purple half of his Scissor Blades,[ep 11] but lost her left eye to him in the process.[ep 12] She has the ability to use her hands to target and destroy the Banshi, a special Life Fiber that keeps a Goku Uniform from falling apart.[ep 12] She also has the ability to manipulate lifelike puppets and even change her appearance.[ep 18] Just like Ryuko, her body is made up of Life Fibers; the difference is that Nui was born in an artificial womb made of Life Fibers.[ep 20] Nui creates Ragyo's ultimate Kamui, Shinra-Kotetsu. In the final battle, she sacrifices herself to merge with Ragyo's original Life Fiber and Shinra-Koketsu itself.[ep 24]
