Brendan is the male protagonist of Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire. He has made cameo appearances in the opening of Pokémon: Jirachi Wish Maker, Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea and Pokémon: Giratina and the Sky Warrior. He is the basis of the character Ruby (ルビー Rubī) in the Pokémon Adventures manga.
